FIDE Chess in Schools Commission

This interactive tutorial shows how chess on a giant board can be used to promote psycho-motor and coordination skills in children between five and eight years. This method originating in Italy is currently tested and improved in Italian, Spanish and German schools through the EU funded project CASTLE. A major aspect is the easy applicability by teachers and other education professionals without a chess background. Brandnew training videos that are for the first time presented in London and cosponsored by FIDE will familiarize many more educators with this unique method.
