Chess and Society is the theme of the third London Chess and Education Conference on 5 and 6 December 2015. While keeping a focus on chess in education, we wish to promote social entrepreneurship in chess more generally. We are inviting contributions from social chess projects on the following topics:
Chess for Old People
Chess for the Visually Impaired
Chess with Refugees
Chess in Prisons
Chess against Addiction
Youth Counselling with Chess
Chess in Libraries and other Informal Learning Settings
Chess and Community Work
Organising Social Chess Events
Please contact us if you are interested to make a presentation at the conference or if you want us to consider a different topic. We also invite you to contribute a poster about your project or research.

Call for Posters
We invite contributions to the theme of Chess and Mathematics in Education in the format of poster presentations. You are welcome submit a poster, even if you are not able to attend the conference, as well as if you are a speaker, a presenter in a workshop or a participant. The posters are for display during the conference. Poster authors who are present are invited to answer questions during break times on Sunday 7 December 13.30-14.00 and 14.45-15.15. With your separate agreement posters shall be displayed on this website and at future school chess meetings.
We will print the posters in A1 format (approx. 80cm x 60cm). We assist you, if required, with the graphic layout and English editing. You need to submit a clear structure, text (maximum 600 words) and pictures (several of them, please). Don´t forget a box about yourself and how to contact you. Please send your full submission until 20 November 2014 to firstname.lastname@example.org
